No defense for the perfect Offense

In football there is a timeless cliche' which states "Defense wins championships," sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. In life there is a dated and hated event that spurns rage in the hearts of most unbelievers of today is it the birth of Christ....No, but rather in my mind it is the crusades of the 11th and 12th century, does Christ need such a defense? Is his power limited to his words and the power of a crafted double edged sword, God forbid as it is written "For the wrath of man does not equal the righteousness of God".(James 1:20)

Let's take a mental flight to the 21st century and reword the previous question, Does God need us to "learn" the words of his truth, promise, and wrath to preach them "only" as a defense against the futile hearts of sinners, agnostics, atheists, and scoffers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ which in fact is the perfect offense.

In football a fine tuned offense will possess a play caller who has working knowledge of which plays are good for certain situations and there are players who must execute the play precisely as it is drawn up. In like manner the bible has an answer for every situation the defense (we'll give it the name life & people) may try to interject. If God has already dialed up the perfect offense, instead of us repeating the play back to him, how about we execute or live out the instruction as it is written then we won't have to talk or argue about what play should be called.

Today most Christians are in a defensive posture without the armour of God, but we are trying to block the fiery darts of the enemy with our breath. Most of us are helping Satan light the arrow then run when we see that the one we helped light is meant for us. The time is crucial for us to make every effort to live holy which means to be set apart for his purpose.

The power of a modern crusade is in our ability to perform God's will for our own lives, so many of us follow Christ and yet we follow from afar. Even so as Peter we learned to say the right things at the right times, but as Christ told Peter so is the message the same for us all, "when thou art converted strengthen your brothers". Only when our execution lines up with the right play will we change the perspective of hundreds maybe thousands who oppose our perfect offense.

To all the Saints with the love of Christ,

Chad

Quantitative Nothingness

When God tells us that he is all and everything, we should believe him, we should also communicate this more clearly by life application rather than by speech solicitation. I wokeup and found the Lord had given me a gift as I slept warm and peaceful; he gave me life in the form of another day. I sat at the end of the bed and acknowledged the reason for my livelihood, I then proceeded to offer songs of worship to the Lord, which drew us closer to one another in an intimate bond of agreement. Funny, how God is aware of his goodness yet in our earthen vessels this self awareness can lead to conce"i"t (the "i" indicates pride is hiding inside). But in God's self awareness he rewards the finder and promoter of his goodness.

In recognition of the abundance of his passion, love, and presence that he shared with me, later at work I found the time to (1)complain, (2)trample the effects of morning praise, and (3) Put on open display my dissatisfaction toward others.

So all that I had, suddenly meant nothing and why is it that we can be so rich and fluent subjects such as the hottest tv show, the latest gossip, best sports teams and on and on, but we are semi-content with our infancy in Christ.... I know...I know openly not many will admit to this; as it may cause some of us to look bad or realize we aren't rated as high as we first thought.

Yet, I feel as JC (Livin4Christ83) has said many times, I am a pathetic Christian and an adamant supporter of "Quantitative Nothingness"- The missed realization of having everything.

Luckily for me God does not lower himself simply because we think less of him sometimes.

Thank you Jesus,

Chad
